I'm running Windows 10. If I disconnect my laptop from a monitor or do anything to change the configuration, it can sometimes take up to 5 minutes to return to normal operation.

Hello, John
Could you name the exact number of the Windows build (type winver in the Search field of the Windows Start menu, press Enter. The Window containing the build number will appear).

Do you mean you disconnect it physically? What exactly configuration changes do you make?
What is happening during 5 minutes after making changes? Describe it more detailed please.
What is your monitors layout? What interfaces do you use to connect the monitors to your laptop (DVI, HDMI etc)? Do you use any usb video adapters?
Could you send us your configuration files using the Send to Tech Support tool (Configuration module > Tools > Configuration > Send to Tech Support). Please, add a link to this topic to the email.
Best regards.

Sorry, I'm overwhelmed with work. It was easier for me to just disable AMM altogether than to spend time figuring out why it has all these problems.

I had this problem, too. It happened when disconnecting my Dell Latitude laptop from the docking station (which has 2 monitors via HDMI and DVI attached, using only these 2, not the laptop monitor). Desktop almost freezes, took 1-2 minutes until I could use the system again. Same when connecting it to the dock.

Stefan, does this mean that you are not experiencing the problem anymore?

It means I uninstalled AWM because of this.No I cannot test a recent version as I only got a key for versions up to May 04, 2016. But anyway, the problem occures with AMM (8.9.1) as well. Maybe something to do with Intel HD drivers?
