Topic: «8.6 crashes on startup » on forum: Technical Support

After upgrading to 8.6 on my laptop I have a lot of trouble with crashes. AWM is crashing on startup, killing other programs as well:
User added an image

If Directory Opus is not running, explorer.exe crashes instead.

AWM looks to run after confirming the checkboxes but this is very annoying.

Edit:
German Win7x64 Professional with latest updates.
16gb Ram

Does the issue appear every time you start your computer?

What versions of Directory Opus and Rainmeter are you running?

Could you send us your configuration files using the Send to Tech Support tool (Tools > Configuration > Send to Tech Support). Please add the link to this topic to the e-mail with the configuration files.

I have had the same issues periodically. It crashes and when I click the button to find a solution it closes opens AMM and crashes again, until I shut down all AMM process. Start it again and it will work. I have also noticed that the cpu usages is always around 20%, which seems high to me.

Does the program crash on system startup? How often does it happen?

What OS are you running (version, 32- or 64-bit)?

Do you have the same conditions as Th Kn have? I mean, are you running Directory Opus or Rainmeter too?

Could you send us your configuration files using the Send to Tech Support tool (Tools > Configuration > Send to Tech Support). Please add the link to this topic to the e-mail with the configuration files.
