I use google hangouts quite often and like to have the chat windows open on my secondary monitor. When I minimize the chat windows on my secondary monitor, the windows disappear and it also does not display a taskbar icon like it does on my main monitor that I'm not using actualtools. The hangout windows usually stick out just above the taskbar and you can mouse over them and click to expand them again.

Sound like the same issue that I have with Chrome, IE and now Windows Explorer, turn off Actual Tools and it stops. If you can live without it for little while.

Gents, thank you for your posts!
@Scott:
First of all, we have to admit that it won't minimize the same way as it does on the Windows taskbar. Even if you "trick" it and get it moved to secondary monitor upon startup and then press its
Minimize
title button, it will get minimized and moved to the primary monitor. It's just programmed to stick to the Windows taskbar's notification area and I think this is why the taskbar icon disappears - it's being moved to primary monitor. At least under my Win 8.1 it is so.
But there's a workaround I recommend to you: try minimizing it with a taskbar icon left-click. You can also post a feature request and we'll consider making it stick to our notification area somehow.
Best regards!
