It took me some time to realize it was AWM at fault. Whenever I have AWM running and active, I have problems with Alt+Tab. Very often, an Alt+Tab will not flip back to the previous application. Rather, it flips back to some other application that was in the background. If I simply right click the AWM tray icon and select Stop, Alt+Tab works normally again.

I have many problems also, a lot missing windows, etc. Why not provide an option to disable this "custom" alt-tab?

The option is finally added and will be available in the next update.

Good news Alex! Meantime, I found an interesting behavior, may help your team to investigate and fix the built in feature. A lot times the alt+tab is missing few windows, now I noticed that when you restart AWM (8.1.4 @ Win 8 x64) it update the windows list. Check screenshots bellow:

Before: http://1.grn.cc/temp2/2014-04-25_18-36-43.png

After to restart: http://1.grn.cc/temp2/2014-04-25_18-49-36.png

That's explain most of my issues.

Just use daily for a good time to notice the issue.

Cya.
