Since a few days it seems that the configuration console of AWM 7.x crashes when I try to start it.
After a look in the process tree I saw that the process starts, but terminates after about one second without any message.

I already tried to reinstall the program (all 7.x versions). Also with eliminating all global/personal settings files and registry entries. Nothing happens!

OS Details: Windows XP Prof. SP 3 (x86)

Hello Dennis T.

What exactly settings were eliminated?

Try to delete all .ini files in the installation folder.

Best regards.

Now, I tried it again with AIM v7.5.1.
Therefore, I eliminated the whole content of directory "%APPDATA%\Actual Tools\Actual Window Manager".

But the problem with the configuration console still exists.
AIM itself is running without problems, but only with default settings.

Hello Dennis,

Did you delete all .ini files from the C:\Program Files\Actual Window Manager\ directory?

Best regards.

The system was installed from scratch (WinXP Prof. SP3).
So, there was no previous installation of AWM.

To be sure I made no mistake, I reinstalled the current ver sion (AWM 7.5.1) again and removed everything (config files, install dir, registry entries) mentioned above.
But its still not working.

I think log messages would be helpful, because I didn't get any error message.

Dennis,

Are you able to start the configuration module via C:\Program Files\Actual Window Manager\ActualWindowManagerConfig.exe with Actual Window Manager unloaded?

Best regards.

Dennis,

Could you send me (support@actualtools.com) an archive with the %APPDATA%\Actual Tools\Actual Window Manager\ directory?

Best regards.

Hello Dennis

I was unable to reproduce the issue.

Have you deleted the registry entries both from the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Actual Tools\Actual Window Manager and from the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Actual Tools\Actual Window Manager branches?

Best regards.
