I'm not sure if anybody else experiences this issue, but I have noticed when I run Sandboxed applications, I get several entries into the taskbar which are usually grouped, and range from anywhere between 2-3 windows per taskbar entry, and one of the titles of the window is always blank, and the other always states "GDI+ Window ."  I am not able to click the preview of the title in order to expand the window since the windows really don't exist.  And when I right-click the taskbar entries and close the grouped items, nothing happens.  in other words, I get frustrated to always fill up my taskbar with several grouped entries of applications that don't even exist and always must right-click and close all the grouped items in each of the taskbar entries.  Can somebody please let me know if there is something that I may need to do in order to stop this from happening?   Thank you.

Hello Chris.

What application do you use to run programs in Sandbox?

What OS (version, 32 or 64-bit) are you running?

What our product (name, version) are you running?

Does it happen with all Sandboxed applications?

Best regards.

I am using your most recent version 7.2.  It happens to any application I run sandboxed, including windows calculator, dazzle (Endicia postage printing software), etc.  Basically any programs I run sandboxed.  have you gotten any other complaints in regards to this?

Hello Chris.

What means are you using (program, maybe system utility) to run applications sandboxed? Through what means do you manage the sandbox?

Best regards.

I am using shortcuts that are created by sandboxie (from Configure > windows shell integration).  Or by right-clicking tray icon, choosing sandbox, then open "start menu programs"

Were you able to investigate this issue?  Have you heard from anybody else if they are experiencing the same types of issues?

Hello Chris.

What OS (version, 32 or 64-bit) are you running?

What version of Sandboxie are you running?

Give me a step-by-step description of this situation.

Best regards.

Windows 7 64 bit.  I believe I have narrowed down the problem.  It isn't from Sandbox, it is actually when you launch several applications using a batch file script.  This causes those numerous taskbar entries that should not be there.  Is there any way to fix this?  My batch files are made to launch several lnk shortcuts, they look something like this:

start "" Calculator-1.lnk
start "" Calculator-2.lnk
start "" Calculator-3.lnk
start "" Calculator-4.lnk
exit

And the calculator shortcuts are shortcuts to open them in separate sandboxes.

Hello Chris.

Do you mean each instance of calc.exe is running in its own sandbox?

How can i make shortcuts for calc.exe to open this way?

Best regards.

Yes, each are running in their own sandbox (i.e. sandbox 1, sandbox 2, etc.)
