Replacing the primary taskbar duplicates the start menu button so that you can see the original start menu button through the replaced taskbar, and if you auto-hide the taskbar, the original start menu button will still be visible.
The Windows start menu button is still floating there, while the hidden taskbar is underneath it.
Running Windows 7 64-bit Home Premium
