 actual window manager version:
skype version: 4.2.0.141
description:
i had skype auto login configured
with actual window manager enabled, skype main window won't display.
with actual window manager disabled, skype main window will display. (restart skype is required)
in either case, the "signing in" window is ok, only main window is affected. the main window is the one with contact lists

 moo,

Please try the following:
First of all, disable all the specific settings which apply to any windows of Skype (if you have such rules).

Create a new rule for Skype with the following parameters in Target Window tab:
[ ] Window class
[ ] Window caption
[X] Program: \skype.exe

And finally, at the very bottom of Startup tab, please disable "Block premature appearance of window".

Will that new rule help?

disabled "Default settings", still reproducable
did what you suggest as a workaround, still reproducable
can u reproduce it too? it's easy to download one and registering an account is free

 We've seen that problem with Skype before, and disabling "Block premature appearance of window" option helped that time.

We'll try to make some more testing, perhaps the error will reappear.

 nope, it's not fixed, i just got lucky :(
and most "msi (not sure about type) only installshield" based installer also won't show the last dialog when uninstalling it and the exe is still running by checking taskmgr

 Please send us your configuration files for analyzing.

As for the problem with the installer, please specify the exact names and versions of products with which you did encounter the described issue.

i clicked ActualWindowManager's send configuration menu, it opened my own email client and sent to you
